Fisker Plug-In Hybrid to Debut at NAIAS in January

( Mobile ) - When most people hear about hybrid vehicles, they probably think about the Toyota Prius. There are other players in the game, of course, and the Fisker hybrid is decidedly hitting up the high end.

Fisker Automotive is known better as a "custom coachbuilder that adds a new suit of custom tailored duds to Mercedes SLs and BMW 6-Series cars", but their latest effort is quite different altogether. Set to be a plug-in hybrid, the unnamed sedan is scheduled to make its official debut at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January with sales starting sometime in 2009.

The image that you see here is not the unnamed Fisker hybrid. Instead, the Fisker Tramonto is here to give you an idea what the company is capable of producing. If you're thinking that it has distinct Aston Martin flavor to it, that's because founder Henrik Fisker was once the chief designer at AM.
