Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr U. Ismayilova / Prices for butter in Azerbaijan rose by 20%, the head of the Anti-Monopoly Service at the Azerbaijan Economic Development Ministry, Samir Dadashev, said on 4 October.
According to Dadashev, the rise in the cost of butter was caused by the EU's decision to increase payments for butter and cheese exporters, which previously was €0.33 per kg.
"The decision of the EU was called by the increasing demand and the lack of necessity in export promotion," Dadashev said.
There are export customs for goods entering the EU.
