( Cardesignnews ) - Subaru's Exiga concept aims to combine the agile driving performance of the company's cars with luxurious interior accommodations for up to seven adults.
From the exterior, the Exiga looks poised and sporting, more so than traditional 7-seater vehicles. The goal of the design was to evoke an athletic stance, which Subaru sought to achieve using firm surface texture and well-defined dimensions. The rakish and flowing LED headlights lend a sense of agility and playfulness to the front face, while the A-pillar angle has been optimized for enhanced visibility. The rear is notably more aggressive, indicative of its sporting pretensions.
Inside, the Exiga concept reveals an inviting and luxurious cabin, with an expansive glass roof for a perception of increased space. Pearl-colored leather upholstery and crisp blue accents highlight the interior, while a clear blue display zone accentuates the instrument panel, running through the width of the vehicle. It doubles as an entertainment unit for passengers. The rear seats can be arranged in variety of different configurations and amenities such as folding rear tables in the front seatbacks further enhance versatility. Indirect lighting in the ceiling and doors illuminates the cabin at night.
