Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr E. Huseynov / The amount of Turkish investments in Azerbaijani economy makes up some $3bln, the chair the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rifat Hisarciklioglu said in Baku on 7 November.
Turkish investments only in large projects constituted $2.5bln, Hisarciklioglu said at the Turkish-Azerbaijani business forum.
He mentioned that in August Turkey abolished visa regime with Azerbaijan and is expecting for the same from Baku. Hisarciklioglu indicated importance of regulating levying customs from Turkish transit transporters.
"That will lead to intensification of cargo turnover between the two countries, and will also promote the project on the Great Silken Way," he said.
