( dpa ) - The basket price for crudes produced by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) dropped by more than 2 dollars on Wednesday, the Vienna-based OPEC Secretariat said Thursday.
On Wednesday, one barrel ( 159 litres) of OPEC-produced crudes stood at 86.42 dollars, down 2.07 dollars compared to the previous day, OPEC calculations said.
OPEC calculates an average basket price from twelve major brands produced by the 13 cartel member states.
