( dpa ) - Crude oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) continued its downwards trend at the end of last week, sliding 38 cents.
The price of OPEC's basket of twelve crudes stood at 87.72 dollars a barrel ( 159 litres) on Friday compared with 88.10 dollars the previous day, according to OPEC Secretariat calculations.
On Friday, OPEC oil ministers decided to leave output quotas unchanged for the moment, but hinted at production cuts in case of a global economic slowdown.
