(dpa) - Russia's transport minister has indicated the extension of overflight rights for German airline Lufthansa's cargo subsidiary ahead of air traffic negotiations in Munich.

"Everything is proceeding normally. We shall extend the permit," ministerial spokesman Timur Chikmatow told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa in Moscow on Wednesday.

At the end of 2007, Moscow had temporarily denied Lufthansa Cargo overflight rights in a dispute over the relocation of its Asian hub from Kazakhstan to the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk.

Overflight rights were extended to the end of March after crisis talks.

Negotiations with the Germany's Federal Ministry of Transport are scheduled for Thursday and Friday in Munich.
