Azerbaijan, Baku, 31 March / corr. Trend I. Khalilova/ The European Commission (EC) plans to coordinate technical tasks with Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan (MED) on the project of institutional development of MED, said Rufat Mammadov, the executive director of the Coordinating Bureau of the Technical Assistance Program (Tacis) of the European Union.
The project envisages technical assistance to the development of potential in management of human resources. The consultation services will cover two years. The project is valued at 3mln Euros.
The project is a part of national action plan of Tacis on Azerbaijan for 2006 fiscal year, approved by the European Commission on 15 June 2006, but the financial memorandum in the project was signed with Azerbaijani government in 2007.
According to Mammadov, the technical tasks on the project of support to the development of investments and export are being discussed within the framework of budget for 2006.
The plan also includes the development of the twining-program (6.5mln euros) and the support for the realization of the agreement on partnership and cooperation between EC and Azerbaijan with a budget of 3mln euros.
