Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 April / corr. Trend S. Babayev/ Azerbaijan has increased the export of goods in the first quarter of 2008 which is more than 70% or $624 911. 900 as compared to the same period of 2007. The total volume of export made up $154,397,780.
The import of goods increased by almost 19% or $215,785,300 up to $1,352,207,600.
During this period Azerbaijan carried out trade operations with 114 foreign countries, the Statistics Committee said. Some 1,022 types of goods have been exported and some 4,104 types of goods have been imported.
