Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 May / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The monitoring to prevent bird flu in Azerbaijan will be restored in November, a source from the State Veterinary Service at the Agricultural Ministry of Azerbaijan reported.

"We have decided to hold the next monitoring in November taking into consideration the epizootic stability in the country and results of previously held monitoring," the State Service said.

Monitoring will cover the territories of Absheron Peninsula, Davachi, Salyan, Lankaran and Agjabadi.

Totally, this year, the State Service carried out twelve monitoring exercises. None of them revealed the virus.

Prohibition of hunting, use and sale of wild birds in Azerbaijan still retains in effect. All Azerbaijani border veterinary check points work with medium security to prevent spread of bird flu.
