Azersun’s Forage and Vegetable Oil Production Enterprises to Operate in Azerbaijan by End of 2008

Azerbaijan, Imishli, 11 July / corr. Trend E.Ismayilov / Azersun Holding plans to put into exploitation new forage production plant, where 70 kinds of products will be manufactured, Ismayil Muslimzade, Head of Imishli sugar production plant, which includes new enterprises, said on 11 July. The capacity of new plant will total 600 tons of forage per day. Forage for animals and birds will be produced at this plant.

At present, construction of vegetable oil production enterprise has been completed. First test startup was made on production of Soya oil and sunflower oil. It is planned to begin production within 15-20 days, Muslimzade said.

Oil from corn, rape, sunflower, cotton and other kinds of vegetable crops will be produced at this enterprise. The capacity of the production will be 100 tons per day, whilst in future, it will be increased up to 200 tons after installation of new equipment and further to 400 tons.

The total cost of the construction of both enterprises amounts to €8mln.

Azersun Holding was established in 1992.Activity spheres of the holding include processing and packing up of tea, vegetable oil, trade and distribution, construction, banking, insurance, production of carton and paper products, tinned meat and vegetable, transportation and storage of goods.
