US manufacturer Honeywell said Friday profits rose more than expected in the second quarter on strong demand for its airline parts and automation and control systems, dpa reported.
Second-quarter profits rose to 723 million dollars, up 18 per cent from the year-earlier period, the Morristown, New Jersey-based company said.
Revenue rose 13 per cent to 9.7 billion dollars.
Honeywell is the world's largest maker of cockpit electronics and also is involved in the production of chemicals and transportation technology.
