Inter Partner Assistance Studying Azerbaijan’s Insurance Market

Azerbaijan, Baku, 28 July / Trend corr. U.Ismayilova/ Inter Partner Assistance (IPA), an international assistance network, is analyzing Azerbaijan's insurance market to commence broad service rendering, IPA representative in Baku Minuk Ojaoglu said on 28 July.

"Analysis of Azerbaijani market will be completed by the end of the year. We will divulge the date of Baku office opening at the beginning of 2009," said Ojaoglu.

According to the IPA representative, the company is currently working only with one local insurance company - Basak-Inam - in the field of accident insurance for the people leaving the country.

Turkish Basak owns 49% stocks of Basak Inam joint insurance company. In May, French Groupama received 60% of Basak's stocks.

Once analysis is completed, IPA will apply to Azerbaijan's Finance Ministry to receive a permission to open its office in the country.

"At the current stage, analysis shows that the market has good prospects and we can work here," said Ojaoglu.

Inter Partner Assistance, known in the world as AXA Assistance, is an international assistance network rendering services to corporate and private clients. The company's services cover Turkish legislation on medical insurance, insurance of people leaving the country, automobile insurance. The company has offices in 32 countries.
