Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 September / Trend / Doing Business-2009, a report issued by the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, was presented in Azerbaijan.
The reforms which were carried out in Azerbaijan this year and the effect of regulating reforms on country's business in 2007 and 2008 were the key topics.
Azerbaijan is the world leader in the field of entrepreneurship state management reforming and climbed up from 97th to 33rd position in the world rating of entrepreneurship favourable conditions.
Azerbaijan's Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev, International Financial Corporation's Regional Director Shahbaz Mavaddat, Azerbaijan's Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov, Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov, Azerbaijan National Bank's Chairman Elman Rustamov, Head of Azerbaijan Real Estate Registration State Service Arif Garashov, Chairman of the parliamentary commission on economic policy Ziyad Samadzade, Head of Azerbaijan National Entrepreneurship Confederation Alakbar Mammadov delivered reports at the presentation ceremony.
Doing Business-2009 is the 6th annual report reflecting improvement of business activity and the legislation obstacles in this field. Business activity includes 10 stages: beginning of operation, construction permission, admission to work, property registration, credit issuing, tax paying, border trade, agreement fulfilment and cancellation of business activity.
The presented information covers the period up to 1 June 2008.
