Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 September / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / A competition was announced on the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) prize for achievements in the field of quality of production and service in accordance with decision of the Council of heads of government of the CIS member-countries, dated 25 November 2005.
In Azerbaijan the competition commission was established at the Azerbaijani state agency on standardization, metrology and patents. In accordance with the CIS Intergovernmental Council on standardization, metrology and certification, participants of the competition should be juridical figures of any organization and legal form registered in any CIS member-country, which realizes production (except armament and military technology production) or offers services in each of the following categories:
1. per number of workers:
organizations with 250 workers,
organizations with more than 250 workers;
2. per kinds of activities:
production of industrial purposes,
production of consumer goods and services.
While participating in the competition, a juridical entity, engaged in production or offering services, should prove high quality of its production or services done over two years and export products to more than two CIS member-countries.
Total number of laureates and diplomats of the competition should not exceed 18 and only one laureate in each category.
In Azerbaijan application for the competition should be submitted to the Azerbaijani State Agency on standardization, metrology and patent by 31 October.
