Georgia, Tbilisi, 18 September / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia/ Money transfer to Georgia dramatically fell in August due to military actions in the conflict area. According to the Georgian National Bank, money transfers to the country totalled $73.8mln in August, $23mln less than in July.
Money transfer mainly decreased from Russia and Armenia, as well as Ukraine, Italy, Spain and several other countries.
National Bank said $5.7mln was transferred from Georgia abroad, $3.5mln less than in July. Money transfers from Georgia to Russia fell by $1.6mln totalling $2.1mln.
