Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 October / Trend corr. I.Khalilova/ "The banking system of Azerbaijan will least suffer from the global financial crisis," Pavel Nefidov, Director General of the CIS Finance and Banking Council, said in Baku on 23 October.
According to Nefidov, no banking system in the world possesses immunity against crises, including that of Azerbaijan. All adequate measures must be taken at the initial stage of the crisis to develop financial instruments, and that will be the main subject of discussion at the bank conference to take place in Baku on 24 October.
The financial crisis has mostly affected the banks of Kazakhstan and Ukraine, which are deeply integrated with the global financial system.
