Tokyo stocks closed lower Wednesday on lingering concerns over U.S. and Japanese corporate earnings.
The benchmark 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 113.79 points, or 1.29 percent, from Tuesday to 8,695.51, reported Xinhua.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 14.13 points, or 1.59 percent, to 875.23.
