Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 November / Trend corr. U.Ismayilova / From January to October4,500 families were provided with targeted social support in the Azerbaijani southern region Lankaran, Sarraf Heydarov, head of the Regional Fund for Social Protection, said on 14 November.
"Number of people getting benefits reached 25,800," Heydarov said.
According to Heydarov, monthly targeted social benefits amount to AZN 85-90. More than 7,000 families have applied to the regional fund to get social support since beginning of 2008.
The targeted social support in Azerbaijan is being granted to people with low-income under the President's decree, dated 16 April 2006.
