German, US missions to carry out survey flight over Belarus

In line with the Open Sky Treaty, missions of the Federative Republic of Germany and the United States will carry out a survey flight over the territory of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on November 24-28, the press service of the Belarusian Defence Ministry told BelTA.

Using an SAAB-340 aircraft, the survey flight is supposed to control military activities on the territory of Belarus and Russia.

On November 25-27, a military inspection team of Belarus will visit military units of the Polish Armed Forces in line with the bilateral agreement of Belarus and Poland.

The Belarusian inspection team will examine the Polish military units and the information about main armaments, military hardware and personnel Poland presented to the OSCE member-states as part of the 1999 Vienna Document.

The Vienna Document of the Negotiations on Confidence and Security-Building Measures was adopted by the OSCE Security Cooperation Forum during the OSCE's Istanbul Summit on November 16, 1999. The document came into force on January 1, 2000. Fifty-five OSCE member-states are parties to the 1999 Vienna Document.
