Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 19 / Trend , N.Kirtzkhalia/ Foreign direct investments in Georgia amounted to $150mln in the third quarter. Amount of such investments made up about $490mln in the same period of 2007, the Georgian Statistics Department said.
Japan with $34.69mln of investment was the biggest investor in Georgia in the third quarter. Direct investments of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) comprised $18.27mln, Azerbaijan - 17.8mln and the United Kingdom - $24.87mln. Turkey invested $21.72mln and the United States - $10.1mln in Georgia in this period.
