Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 23 / Trend / Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents announced Imishli sugar factory and Qafqaz Konserv plant belonging to the Azersun Holding group of companies the winners of the first stage of the CIS competition for their achievements in the field of products and services quality.
The enterprises are leaders in the region, Azersun said. The sugar factory with the production capacity of 500,000 tons of sugar was launched in 2006 and now completely covers country's sugar demand. Qafqaz Konserv plant in Khachmaz region won the recognition of consumers under the Bizim Tarla, Bostan, Final, and SuperSun brands.
Azersun Holding was founded in 1992. For the time being company's staff exceeds 3,000 people. Azersun's sphere of activities includes production and packing of tea and vegetable oil, trading and distributing, construction, banking, insurance, manufacturing of paperboard, meat and vegetable cans and cargo transportation.
