Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 24 / Trend , E. Ismayilov/ A large flyover at the intersection of the Heydar Aliyev, Babek and Shakh Ismayil Khatai avenues in Baku will be put into operation on Dec.25, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport said on Dec.24.
Accord group of companies is involved in the construction of the flyover. The company has already tested the constructed objects. The work was carried out by collaborators of Russia's IMIDIS. Carrying capacity, firmness and comfort of traffic movement of the bridge were checked up during the test. Specialists gave affirmative marks to the quality of the new flyover, Accord said earlier.
Construction of the flyover was launched in August 2006. Total area of the flyover is 2,000 running meters. It consists of four transport bridges and two tunnels. Reconstruction of a nearby railway bridge was held within the project.
Roadway heating system was applied first on the project. Heating switches on at the temperature of -4 С° and switches off at 0 С°.
The work is being carried out within the project on discharge of the transport infrastructure of the capital city under Azerbaijani President's decree on Improvement of Transport System in Baku for 2006-2007.
