Georgia and Turkey will expand trade and economic cooperation, Georgian Economic Development Minister Lasha Zhvaniya and Turkish Foreign Trade Minister Gurshad Tuzmen said.
The officials attended the Georgian-Turkish business forum in Tbilisi on Feb. 24.
Participants will fly to Batumi on Feb. 25 where the forum's second stage will be held.
Zhvaniya said the Turkish delegation's visit shows the potential to develop trade and economic relations.
"Georgia has great potential for Turkish businessmen to make investments," Zhvaniya said.
During the visit, Georgian and Turkish businessmen met and planned to cooperate in the energy, trade and transport sectors. They focused on energy cooperation.
"We plan to construct a hydro power station and electricity transmission line to up our exports," the minister said.
