PalSud is national brand

Agriculture is the priority of Azerbaijan's current non-oil sector. Therefore, new enterprises for production of finished commodity are opened. The NurSud dairy plant is one of these enterprises and enters the Palmali group of companies.

In February 2008, NurSud has begun pilot production. In April, high quality dairy products under PalSud brand were offered to customers.

NurSud has no analogues in Azerbaijan. This is the first and so far the only company in the country, which is engaged in production of dairy products using the most advanced technologies in the world.

Total investment in the plant amount to 32 million euros. Besides local professional staff Turkish specialists are engaged in the food industry.

The plant implements an internal quality control, which has all necessary certificates. The plant has the international ISO 22000:2005 standard. Currently plant produces 34 kinds of products. In addition plant plans to manufacture fruit yogurt, flavored milk, cheese and Dutch cheese.

PalSud provides the southern region of Azerbaijan, as well as in Baku and Sumgait wit its products. The plant will provide its products to all regions of the country by the end of the year. A range of foreign countries are interested in the production of NurSud. The plant has already signed agreements with Georgia and Russia, and will export to Turkey.

Palmali's strategy to cope food industry in Azerbaijan is very extensive. Roughly 40 million euros will be allocated this year for these purposes.

A modern farm was built in Masalli region.

A large Logistics Centre is planning to open in Baku. Draft of education institutes are being designing. High qualified specialists will share their experience on food industry in this institute. Palmali will provide jobs to graduators of the institute.

The Palmali Group of companies opened wide-section food enterprise to produce biscuits and chocolate products in Azerbaijan. An ice cream plant will also be established in spring.

The NurSud is not a commercial, but a social project. Its primary objective is to open new jobs, solve social problems in the country. Company's goal is to deliver extremely high quality and healthy food choices for the population. So PalSud is a high-quality and affordable national brand.
