Dismissed workers surpass newly employed in Kazakhstan

About 58,300 workers were employed at large and small businesses and organizations and 60,900 workers were dismissed for various reasons in Kazakhstan in February 2009, the Kazakh Statistics Agency said.

"About 74.7 percent were dismissed at their own will, 5.7 percent were dismissed as a result of personnel reductions, and 19.6 percent were dismissed for other reasons," the agency said.

The employment coefficient was two percent, dismissal coefficient - 2.1 percent and manpower fluctuation coefficient - 1.6 percent.

About 95.7 percent of the dismissed employees found work at other organizations.
