Aqrolizinq Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC) put a coolhouse with 8,200 cubic meters of capacity into exploitation in Azerbaijan's Shamkir region, the organization said.
"Necessary technical equipments have been installed at the store house," the company said.
Thus, the region's farmers received an opportunity to store their fruits and vegetables to sale on market within a year.
Under Aqrolizinq JSC's special investment program for 2008-2015, it is planned to construct repair workshops with modern facilities, improve material and technical base of agrotechnical service branches in 20 regions, reconstruct safeguard bases in Ganja and Khachmaz, and construct two logistics bases for fertilizing with 10,000-15,000 tons of capacity in Imishli and Jalilabad.
Aqrolizinq JSC belongs to the Agriculture Ministry. At present the JSC has 9 regional agroservice provision bases and over 50 agroservice branches in all regions of Azerbaijan, expect the occupied territories.
Aqrolizinq received 133 million manats from public budget in 2005-2008. Some 76.6 million manat was spent to purchase agricultural equipment, 7.4 million - technological facility and 4.9 pesticides and fertilizers.
In this period, over 500 harvester-threshers, 1,500 tractors, 30 mini-tractors, 120 excavators and over 4,000 different agricultural facilities.
A total of 37.5 million manat was allotted to the Aqrolizinq JSC from public budget in 2009 as in 2008.
