A total of 117 auctions were held in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2009 to sell currency reserves, securities, real estate and products of manufacturing and technical appointment in the amount of 2.869.1 million manat, the State Statistical Committee announced.
The total turnover rose by 8.1 percent as compared to 2008.
The Baku Interbank Currency Exchange differed for the increased quantity and volume of sale - 1.9 times and 1.006.4 million manat.
Turnover of the Baku stock exchange reduced by 11.9 percent to 1.862.2 million manat.
