The Azerbaijani Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijani Population submitted to the government proposals on easy use of passenger transport for invalids, the international cooperation department head Elnur Sultanov said on May 5.
"These proposals were designed upon obligations for Council of Europe and UN convention on invalids' rights protection," Sultanov said.
The proposals envisage improvement of transport access for invalids, he said.
Presently, these actions were not taken in transport. The plan of actions on invalids' rights protection envisages not only protection of rights but full integration of invalids in the society, social maintenance, ensuring of employment and other actions, Sultanov said.
