On May 1, 2009, the Azerbaijani Texnikabank's assets amounted 444.9 million manat, which is 17.4 percent more than the same period in 2008, the bank said on May 13. The bank's assets grew by 3.2 percent in April. Profitability of bank's assets amounted to 1.93 percent within four months.
The aggregate capital of the bank grew by 34.3 percent in 2008 and for four months - to 15.5 percent. In April, growth capital was 3.1 percent. In January-April, profitability of the bank's capital was 15.94 percent.
In this period, the loan portfolio of the bank amounted to 343.8 million manat with a 5-percent increase from early 2009. The volume of consumer loans to individuals, as for May 1, 2009 amounted to 60.1 million manats. This figure is by 8 percent more than the same period of 2008.
In April, the bank's deposit portfolio grew by 4.9 percent and as of May 1, 2009 amounted to 136.1 million manat. In this period, people's deposits increased by 7.4 percent and by the end of the reporting period, it amounted to 80.8 million manats. Some 87.1 percent of this amount falls to individual's urgent deposits.
In this period, the bank's net profit before tax amounted to 8.4 million manat.
In April, the number of plastic cards issued by the bank increased by 16 percent and amounted to 48,400 by the end of this period. As for May 1, 2009, holders of plastic cards have 48 ATMs and 340 POS-terminals of the bank.
On May 13, the official exchange rate is 0.8034 manat to $1.
