As for May 1, there were 20 commercial banks in the Georgia's banking sector with foreign capital in 15 banks and two are branches of foreign banks.
The total assets of commercial banks dropped by 11.3 percent to 7861.7 million lari compared to early of the year, the Georgian National Bank reported.
Banks' funds totaled 1540.1 million lari that makes up 19.6 percent of assets of commercial banks.
Shares of five banks, which have the highest assets, have dropped from 79.3 to 78.4 percent
