Roughly $2.5-3 million will be required for reconstruction of Russian-Azerbaijani car Border Bridge via Samur River, trade representative of Russia in Azerbaijan Yuri Shedrin said at press-conference on June 4.
"Roughly 10 months will be required for reconstruction of bridge," Shedrin said.
Working commission was created in 2008. Shocking technical state of this bridge was stressed during examination, he said.
Operations in this point have not been launched yet as there are no funds in budget of any country, Shedrin said. But it will not hamper reconstruction. It is real agreement between countries, trade representative said.
Shedrin said that experts consider that it is impossible to stop operation of bridge even during reconstruction of point as it is the only point for cars.
"The most important thing is for carriers and participants of foreign trade not to suffer from it. I think, there will be improvements in this direction. Meeting of transport ministers of both countries inspires with optimism," Shedrin said.
