Kazakhstan's MPs propose the Prime Minister Karim Massimov to postpone the moratorium on vacancies in the public service to the end of the year, Trend correspondent in Astana reported. The moratorium was made on April 1.

"Under the conditions of crisis, the youth appears as one of the most vulnerable category of population. More than half of unemployed people in the world today are young people. According to the international experts, over the next years, unemployment will continue to rejuvenate," said today MP Murat Abenov, who announced the inquiry addressed to the Head of Government.

According to Abenov, in 2008 the unemployment rate among citizens aged 15 to 24 years in Kazakhstan was 7.4 percent, which was 2.4 percent more than the level of total unemployment.

"There is a danger that this year due to decline in production, this tendency may increase.

He believes that the moratorium announced by the Prime Minister will further complicate the process of employment of young professionals.
