Ninety infringers of rights of consumers identified in Azerbaijan in month

The State Department control over the consumer market under the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan withdrew 1.4 tons of expired food products from sale, including cooked meats and confectionery products, vegetable oils, canned vegetables and other products, the Ministry said.

Violations of consumer rights of the people were identified during the monitoring carried out in Yasamal, Nasimi and Narimanov districts of Baku, and Ganja, Jalilabad and Guba regions on June17.

Some 12.6 tons of fake cement was uncovered and withdrew in Terter region.

Protocols on administrative violations were made against three legal entities and 10 individuals - perpetrators of consumer rights and fines were imposed in accordance with the law.

In general, after the decree of President of Azerbaijan on approval of amendments to the Code of Administrative Violations of May 17, 2009, 14 legal persons were fined in the amount of 52,500 manat and 73 individuals - to 110,000 manat.
