Final resolutions and declarations adopted at the seventh session of the intergovernmental commission of TRACECA transport corridor aim to further develop the corridor and enter the trans-European network, Azerbaijani National Secretary in the TRACECA transport corridor Akif Mustafayev said on June 18. The meeting took place on June 15-16 in the Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan).
Mustafayev said the adopted documents are aimed at reforming institutions of TRACECA.
The meeting elected a new secretary general of the permanent secretariat of the Commission, whom has become the representative of Kyrgyzstan - the former Minister of Transport Zhantoro Satybaldiyev.
"Chairmanship was transferred to Kyrgyzstan from Kazakhstan," Mustafayev added.
At present the TRACECA member countries are Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Moldova, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey andUkraine.
