Over 9,000 families get address social aid in Azerbaijani south region within three years

Roughly 8,635 families got grants in the amount of 8.727 million manat during three years of address state social aid program realization in Lankaran region of Azerbaijan, head of labor and social protection of population center Sarraf Heydarov said on July 1.

Total number of people getting address social aid during three years hits 44,923 people, he said. Roughly 20 families of war victims, 22 internally displaced people got this aid of total number.

Roughly 10,653 families applied to Lankaran region labor and social protection of population for address social aid during three years. Roughly 2,018 families were refused from granting aid due to incorrect information about profit.

Roughly 1,798 families got address social aid in Lankaran region in 2006, 2,427 families in 2007, 4,410 families in 2008, Heydarov said.

Address social aid has been given in Azerbaijan since July 1, 2006. As of July 1, 2009, number of families getting aid hits 179,500 (817,350 people). Average sum of aid per one family hits 98.19 manat in the country, sum of aid per one person - 21.56 manat. Roughly 77.8 percent get aid for the first time of total number.

On July 1, the official exchange rate is 0.8042 manat to $1.
