The companies of non-financial sector of Azerbaijan expressed their desire to attract capital through corporate securities, said the chairman of State Committee for Securities (SCS) Rufat Aslanli.
"On June 12, the Committee held a seminar on corporate bonds, which was attended by 30 companies from the non-financial sector, which expressed their willingness to attract capital through corporate securities," said Aslanli.
He said that the seminar addressed such issues as the advantages of corporate debt instruments, mechanisms of their placement on the market, the requirements for companies to access the market.
"After this, some seven to eight companies expressed their desire to access the market with such tools, and direct work is carried out with several of them," said Aslanli.
He said that one of the food industry companies, entering the securities market, expressed a desire to issue corporate securities, but for its realization, it needs to prepare 12-14-week action plan, bring the financial standards, corporate governance and risk management into conformity with the requirements of investors.
