Over 200kg expired products removed from sale in Azerbaijan

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed and burnt over 200 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said.

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed and burnt over 200 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said.

Monitoring carried out in the Nasimi and Binagadi districts of Baku, as well as in the Ganja and Khachmaz regions of Azerbaijan.

The expired food products include sausages, confectionery products, vegetable oils, natural juices, milk and milk products, and more.

Protocols on administrative violations have been complied on 6 individuals.

Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Violations, dated May 17, 39 enterprises have been fined worth 152,500 manats and 225 individuals - 338,000 manats.

Monitoring continues.

On July 29, the official exchange rate is 0.8042 manat to $1.
