The Russian government has issued an official permission for moving of the Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company's vessels in Russia's interior water.
In Russian government's decree allows one-time passage for the Azerbaijani cargo vessels in the inland waterways of the Russian Federation from the Azov Sea to the Caspian Sea and from the Caspian Sea to the Azov Sea in the navigation period of 2009 and they should pass customs and other controls in ports, which are open multilateral crossing points across the state border of Russia.
Under the decree, ships floating under the Azerbaijani the flag have received permission for 23 passages from the Azov Sea to the Caspian, and 14 from the Caspian Sea to the Azov. Under the order, the passage is available from July 20 to Oct. 30 this year.
