Within the work on new projects to improve tax administration, the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan will begin to introduce online tax invoices in the country, the Ministry said Sep. 2.
On the one hand, introducing online tax invoices will create conditions to facilitate implementation of tax legislation by the taxpayers, on the other hand, will improve the efficiency of tax control.
In this regard, amendments were made to the Tax Code in July this year. According to the Ministry, currently work is carried out on the creation of software that will provide automated control over the invoices and the process of netting of taxes on these operations. Also work is underway on testing the software.
Online invoices will be introduced starting from January 1, 2010.
