The U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Azerbaijani government decided to increase to $25 million the annual funding of joint projects in the country, USAID Country Coordinator Scott Tailor said.
At present, the Azerbaijani government approved financing for $10 million for 2010- 2011, respectively, share of the USAID will be $15 million annually, Tailor said.
"The government is interested in cooperation, therefore it was proposed to consider doubling or tripling the USAID funding in the future, as well as to increase the government's funding," Tailor added.
