The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry has held a monitoring on the quality of textbooks and school supplies, the ministry said.
During the monitoring, the service sent for laboratory analysis tetradic covers, textbooks, "Azərbaycan dili 8", on the last page of which was indicated Aspoliqraf printery , as well as the book "My Notebook", printed by Prestij company.
Under the results of laboratory tests, the coating covers are uneven and with a washable paint, as well as the pages of the textbooks cannot be opened fully. Paint of the notebooks' covers is also unstable, the table is almost invisible and contamination of notebooks was above the norm.
The study also revealed that the textbooks were issued illegally and notebooks were of unknown origin.
The ministry removed from sale 178 units of fake books and 3,115,000 notebooks of unknown origin.
