In January-September, Uzbekistan increased production of ethyl alcohol raw by 7.5 percent compared to the same period in 2008 and it was 3.532 million dal, the country's state committee on statistics reported.
Production of food alcohol rose by 7.1 percent and reached 3.341 million dal, industrial alcohol - by 3.8 percent and was 20,500 dal, rectified spirit - by 2.4 percent and was 616,500 dal.
Production of vodka and alcoholic beverages increased by 7.5 percent and was 6.745 million dal, brandy - at 1.2 percent, to 19,000 dal, champagne - by 5.3 percent to 66,500 dal, beer - by 11.8 percent, to 15.9 million dal. Production of wine fell by 6.5 percent and was 1.463 million dal.
In 2008, the production of ethyl alcohol raw in Uzbekistan increased by 14.7 percent and reached 4.69 million dal.
