President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the serious criticism to the regional administration of the Akhal region, not ensuring the proper level of seasonal agricultural work, in particular, the cotton harvest.

Turkmenistan, producing annually about one million tons of raw cotton, is in the top ten of the world producers. Most of the raw material is processed inside the country. Production of textile industry is spread through a worldwide sales network WalMart.

In addition, the Turkmen leader demanded that strict control over the exploitation of agro-technology. Today the national TV channel Altyn Asyr has reported that the Turkmen leader, "flying over the fields, saw the abandoned parts of used agricultural machinery.

The President expressed dissatisfaction with the Association for Turkmenobakhyzmat for unsustainable attitude towards the equipment allocated by the state, which are mainly purchased in the U.S. and Belarus.

"This is unacceptable negligence," the Turkmen leader said, instructing to conduct an inventory of waste equipment and recycling of scrap metal at Ovadandepe metallurgical plant (near Ashgabat), recently put into exploitation.
