Azerbaijan is experiencing a cut in sale of low-quality children's toys, head of the sector for state control over imported goods at the Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents, Alasgar Hasanov said on Nov. 12.
"Compared to 2008, the market is experiencing a considerable fall in sale of low-quality Chinese toys, which is in most cases sold in inappropriate places and at too low prices," Hasanov said.
He said the number of toys of Dubai production has increased on the market of children's toys, which are much higher quality that Chinese toys at the moment.
"But we cannot say that all Chinese-made toys are low-quality, many brand stores sell high-quality Chinese goods, and we recommend buying toys, including Chinese, from the brand stores," Hasanov said.
