The National Bank of Georgia's Monetary Policy Committee has decided not to change its monetary policy rate. According to a Trend staff reporter, the five percent rate will remain at the bank.
The next committee meeting will be held Jan. 20.
The monthly inflation rate in Georgia was 2.7 percent in November, compared to an average of 1.9 percent for the year. According to forecasts, inflation will fluctuate by 3.4 percent by late, and hit approximately six percent next year.
