Investment in fixed capital increases by 7.3 billion manat

In 2009, 7, 3 million manat were invested in socio-economic development in Azerbaijan.

Private enterprises and organizations invested 2, 9 million manat in fixed capital and state ownerships was 4, 4 million manat.

Companies invested 5, 1million manat in repair construction works or 69.9 percent of the total amount of investments. Some 5, 4 million manat was invested in the construction of production facilities, and 4, 4 million in non-production facilities.

Foreign investments hit 14, 7 million manat. Domestic investments are mostly in state organizations and 29.6 percent are in the private sector.

Around 27 percent are invested in fixed capital (1, 9 million manat) aimed at developing the oil sector and 73 percent (5, 3 million manat) is in the non-oil sector.

About 40.9 percent of investments are in industrial areas like agriculture, fish-breeding, construction education etc.

Enterprises and organizations invested 3, 5million manat (47.9 percent of total investments) in fixed capital, bank loans - 3, 8million manat (5.2 percent), budget - 2, 6 million manat (36, 4 per cent), non-budget funds - 473.9 million manat (6.4 percent), personal funds of the population - 2, 9 million manat (4.1 percent), and other resources - 0,5 million manat.
