In January 2010, prices for the sale of new homes rose by 0.6 percent compared to December 2009, decent housing and rental - at 0.1 percent and process for uncomfortable houses remained unchanged, the Kazakh statistics Agency reported.
According to the agency, in January the price of house in the newly built house was at an average of 138,594 tenge per square meter ($900 for 1 sq. m.) and the secondary housing market was at an average of 100,900 tenge per square ($660 for 1 sq. m).
Resale of the deplorable housing was almost half the price (59,100 tenge per square meter, or about $400, the source reported. The cost of rental housing was at an average of 814 tenge ($6) per square meter.
