In 2009, Azerbaijan increased construction materials production and the volume of services in this area by 16.1 percent, the Cabinet of Ministers' report on results of the 2009 says, The report was submitted to the Azerbaijani parliament for discussion.
The volume of production of basic building materials- cement and commodities from cement and asphalt - has grown twice, building plaster -by 18.9 percent.
In 2009, the enterprises operating in Azerbaijan produced 1.3 million tons of cement, 18,400 cubic meters of construction- assembly structures made of cement, 5,500 tons of building blocks and 247,300 cubic meters of building brick.
