Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes has completed a pilot project to mount devices on the electronic data transmission from distance to cash registers, said the Minister of Taxes of Azerbaijan Fazil Mammadov said.
According to him, 2,000 such devices will be installed by the end of the year.
About 500,000 is required to install these devices.
"If the funds are made available, and we are confident that they will be allocated, we will continue this work, the minister said. At the first stage, we will install devices on large facilities, later on medium and small."
According to the minister, the main goal in installing these devices is "online" control of the cash registers, without waiting for the completion of the day. "Thus, we can control the level of turnover. The main question facing us is to strengthen control over the cash turnover," said Mammadov.
Formerly, commercial facilities submitted to the Ministry of Taxes the declarations on VAT or simplified tax once per month or quarter, respectively. Introduction of such devices allows tax authorities to react promptly in case of not fixing operations through control and cash registers.
